The WA Oceania Challenge is an online tournament, open to all current financial members affiliated with Archery New Zealand, which is a Member of World Archery Oceania. Each club chooses one or more suitable dates during the months of May/June 2023. Participants may compete more than once, but only one result may be submitted. All archers shoot 5x ends of 6 arrows at each of three distances on a 122cm face. Each end takes 4 minutes = 40 secs per arrow. SHORT Round aka Modified WA 900 round (Junior Canberra) for archers shooting recurve, compound or barebow who have been in archery 12 months or less, or who have never shot further than 40m. 30 arrows at each distance of 40m, 30m and 20m on a 122cm face. BAREBOW Round aka Barebow WA 900 Round, for everyone else shooting barebow. 30 arrows at each distance of 50m, 40m, and 30m on a 122cm face. LONG Round aka WA 900 Round (Canberra Round) for everyone else shooting Recurve and Compound. 30 arrows at each distance of 60m, 50m and 40m on a 122cm face. Divisions: Under 18 (born in 2006 or later): Male/Female - Recurve, Compound, Barebow Under 21 (born in 2003, 2004, 2005): Male/Female - Recurve, Compound, Barebow Open (born 2002 or earlier): Male/Female - Recurve, Compound, Barebow Master 50+ (born 1973 or earlier): Male/Female - Recurve, Compound, Barebow This is an honour system event, please enter the correct round and the scores that were shot. Scores must be entered in ArcheryOSA by Sunday 9th of July so that they can be checked and forwarded to the WAO Secretary General by the close-off date. |
