We are pleased to confirm that the 2021 WAA Indoor Champs will be held this Saturday at the Hutt Valley Riding for the Disabled venue in Silverstream, Upper Hutt. The competition will be run under Level 2 Covid protocols and is likely to be a long hard day for all and I thank you in advance for your adherence to the requirements to get the event completed. If you are not intending to attend, please let me know. The draw will be set on Friday and anyone that has not paid will be removed and no on the day entries or payments will be accepted. Because we will have nearly 50 people participating it is important that we follow the processes which will be gone over in detail on Saturday morning. We will be shooting in double detail, so it will be extra difficult for all involved. Additionally, it will be extremely difficult to manage spectators, so we do ask that these be kept to a minimum (if any). Broadly the key things we will be doing on Saturday will be as follows: 1. Archers to get their equipment setup by their vehicles 2. There will be briefing held in at least two groups outside 3. Requirements for distancing and staging areas will be discussed 4. A draw and target allocations will be announced in the briefing 5. People will then be move individually into the building, completing scanning etc 6. There is a separate viewing area/stage for the non-shooting group to safely wait Two Rounds: - Portsmouth (60 arrows at 18m on 60cm, 3 spot. Novice on single spot) - WA18 (60 arrows at 18m on 40cm, 3 spot. Novice on single spot) Grades - Masters 65+ - Masters 50 - Senior - Junior (Under 20 yrs) - Novice - Shooting less than one year (enter as Recurve/Compound/Bare Bow or Long Bow) |
