Event Info |
Note: this is a Vaccine Pass-required event. Our goal for the upcoming ADAA Target Championships is to promote an accessible event which is an achievable stretch for archers at all levels. Your entry fee also includes a barbeque lunch on both days of the competition! Saturday will include a WA 720 round in the morning + a Portsmouth round shot _outside_ in the afternoon. WA 720 round distances are as per usual Archery NZ rules. A Portsmouth is 60 arrows shot at 18 m on a 60 cm face in 3-arrow ends. It is typically an indoor round. Shooting this outdoors for the first time means that many archers will set the Archery NZ outdoor record for this round. Archers may choose on the day whether to shoot the Portsmouth on a full face (appropriate for most recurve/barebow archers) or a 60 cm "spot" face (may be desired by compound archers and some recurve/barebow archers). The results from both rounds will be added together for ranking purposes for the following day's rounds. Sunday will include: - individual round robin matchplay - with the goal being for each archer to get at least 4-5 matches in the morning. Classes will be combined together for matchplay to make the numbers in each group suitable for the round robin format. - Mixed team matchplay, with teams allocated based on the Saturday ranking. We welcome entries in the new Archery NZ Novice and Development classes - see details here. https://www.archerynz.co.nz/athletes/shooting-rules-for-athletes/ Sorry, no single-day entries will be accepted! Priority for entries will be given to archers from ADAA-member clubs. Places will be confirmed only after payment. We will provide a full refund for any cancellations received up to 14 days prior to the event, so we encourage you to make payment at the time of entry. If you have any questions, please contact the tournament organisers at tournaments@mgac.org.nz or post within the Facebook event. 17 Jan update - there are limited spaces left in this tournament. 2 x 70m, 1 x 50m compound and 1 x 20m |
