Round one of the WAA Cup for 2025 will be hosted at Randwick Archery Club on 22nd March. The WAA Cup is provides aspiring archers the opportunity to gain experience in ranking rounds and match play, in a relaxed and low-stakes setting. Three to four WAA Cup events will be scheduled each shooting year, and archers will accumulate points at each to contribute to their overall ranking over the season. Medals and trophies to recognize archer achievement over the season will be awarded at the AGM in September. Each round of the WAA cup is a WA 720 ranking round run as a timed shoot with double scoring followed by non elimination match play. Classes: Archers may compete in the following classes: Open, Junior (U21), Development, and Novice. All classes will be mixed gender. Divisions: Compound archers in the Open, U21, and Development classes will shoot on an 80cm face at 50m; and Novice at 35m. Recurve archers in Open and U21 classes will shoot a 122cm face at 70m; Development at 50m, and Novice at 35m. Barebow recurve, and Longbow will be shot at 50m on a 122cm face for Open and U21 classes, 35m for Development and 20m for Novice. Certificates will be awarded for first, second, and third place in each division. |
