Eligibility to win WAA Trophies A member of any recognised Archery Association can participate in WAA events and win medals but only WAA members may be awarded the trophies. The round for both days is a WA 1440. Barebow Recurve, and Longbow will shoot a 60m WA 1440. The winners will be decided on the combined score totals for both days. In the event that one day has to be called off due to poor weather, then the winners will be decided on the scores from 1 day only. WAA medals and trophies will be awarded to Seniors, 50+ & Juniors (both Men & Women) for the following divisions: Recurve, Compound, Barebow Recurve, and Longbow. Scores shot over longer distance WA 1440s take precedence over the shorter distances. Therefore the winner of the 50+ Men’s Recurve & Compound trophies will be the winner of the WA 1440 shot at 70 metres. Although the WA/ANZ designated shoot for 65+ class is the WA 1440 at 60 metres, Archers in this age group will need to shoot the 70m WA 1440 if they wish to compete for the 50+ Men’s titles. In the case of 50+ Women, the winner of the Recurve & Compound trophies will be the winner of the WA 1440 shot at 60 metres. Although the WA/ANZ designated shoot for 65+ class is the WA 1440 at 55 metres, Archers in this age group will need to shoot the 60m WA 1440 if they wish to compete for the 50+ Women’s titles. In the case of Juniors, the winner of the Recurve & Compound trophies will be the winner of the WA 1440 shot at the designated WA/ANZ Youth Under 21 Junior distances (90m for Junior Men and 70 metres for Junior Women). Although the WA/ANZ designated shoot for Cadets (or younger) is shorter, Archers in this age group will need to shoot up a grade if they wish to compete for the Juniors’ titles. For the above three examples, in the case that there are no Archers shooting the longer distances, only then can the trophy (title) be awarded to the winner of the shorter distance WA 1440. Payment needs to be made by internet banking before the 9th Nov 2024. No refunds will be given out after the closing date. No cash payments will be taken on the day of shooting. A waiting list will be made if needed. This is a World Archery registered tournament Archery NZ dress code applies (National uniform, Club uniform or Sportswear) Please note we reserve the right to use pictures taken on the day for publicity on our web site, Facebook and other Media |
