The World Archery Oceania (WAO) - Oceania Challenge is on again for 2026. The Introduction to the Oceania Challenge and Scorecard has been sent to Clubs and Individual affiliated members. Please carefully read the requirements of the Challenge. All Archery NZ-affiliated members are eligible to shoot.

Shoot this event at your own club and enter your own results into ArcheryOSA. Archery NZ collects your results from ArcheryOSA and submits them to WAO as one group.

• Only one result per person (no multiple entries with different bow types or different age classes)

Rounds:
For all rounds archers will shoot 5 ends of 6 arrows at each of the three
distances on a 122cm face. Each end takes 4 minutes = 40 seconds per arrow.

Short Round (for people shooting Recurve, Compound or Barebow/Longbow who have been in archery for 12 months or less or have never shot further than 40m):
30 arrows shot from each of the 40m, 30m, 20m distances on a 122cm target
face.

Medium Round: (for people shooting Recurve, Compound or Barebow/Longbow who
haven been in archery for 12 months or less or have never shot turther than 50m)
30 arrows shot from each of the 50m, 40m, 30m distances on a 122 target face

Barebow & Longbow Rounds: 30 arrows shot from each of the 50m, 40m, 30m distances on a 122cm target face.

Para Round:
(U21 only) WA 40cm indoor face or 3 spot at 18m
(U21 and over) select the round suitable to your abilities and time in the sport

Long Round (for everybody else shooting Recurve and Compound):
30 arrows shot from each of the 60m, 50m, 40m distances on a 122cm target face.

This is based on an honour system, and we expect participants to enter the round that applies for them. Clubs are expected to check that their members have entered the correct round.

* The shoot can be done anytime during April and May. Participants may compete more than once, but only one result per person may be submitted (no multiple entries with different bow types or in different age groups).
* The results must be entered into ArcheryOSA by 5 pm, Sunday, 7th June 2026 (NZST time), so that they can be checked and collated before being sent to the WAO Secretary-General for the placings in each category.
* Please enter individual results, including the X and X+10 count in ArcheryOSA. This can be done at any time.
* ArcheryOSA will be used to collate the final results. Please do not email the score sheets for scores entered through ArcheryOSA unless requested.
* Alternatively, your club may use the official spreadsheet to send the results to [email protected] by 5 pm, Sunday, 7th June 2026 (NZL time).
* World Archery Oceania will NOT accept results sent directly to them from any Archery NZ-affiliated member.
